Accessibility Statement

Here is what we check, what we know falls short, and how to tell us when something doesn't work for you.

Our Approach

We aim for WCAG 2.2 level AA. The site has not had an independent accessibility audit, so we do not claim conformance. An automated check cannot catch everything a person using assistive technology would, so the sections below are specific about what we do and what we know falls short.

What We Check on Every Page

Before any page is released, an automated check runs for:

  • Text contrast against its background
  • A minimum text size of 14 px
  • Tap targets of at least 44 px
  • No sideways scrolling at widths from 375 px (phone) to 1440 px (desktop)

The build also does these things on every page: motion is reduced when the reader’s device asks for it, images carry descriptive alt text, headings run in order, and site search falls back to a plain search form when JavaScript is off. These checks run on every page, including this one.

Known Limitations

Two parts of the site need JavaScript: the live rates panel on hotel pages and the interactive map. The map loads only when a reader presses “Load map”; until then the page shows a static map image. If JavaScript is off, those two features won’t work.

Hotel photographs come from third parties, so the alt text describes what the photo shows but cannot add detail the photo lacks. We record the source of every image, but the description is limited to what is visible in the frame.

Third-Party Content

Pages link out to booking sites, Google Maps and hotel websites. Those are separate sites with their own accessibility, and we cannot control or guarantee them. When a reader books through a partner link, the booking site’s pages and forms are the booking site’s responsibility. The same applies to the hotel’s own website, which we link to on every hotel page.

If something on the site doesn’t work for you, email info@spahotelfinder.com with “Accessibility” in the subject line. Tell us the page and what went wrong. We reply within two business days, and we can provide page content in another format on request. We look into every report and fix what we can; where a fix isn’t possible, we say so.

Updates to This Statement

We update this statement when the build or our checks change. If something here no longer matches the site, tell us using the address above.
