A plain explanation of the affiliate links on this site: what they are, what they earn, and what they never change.

How We Make Money

Spa Hotel Finder is published by Blue Astoria Media Group Ltd. We may earn money through affiliate commission, and only through it. When you click a partner link and then book, the booking site may pay us a commission. The booking site pays that commission, not you. The price you pay is the same price you would have paid by going to the booking site directly.

Partner links route through Stay22, an affiliate network, and then on to one of five booking sites: Booking.com, Expedia, Hotels.com, Kayak and Agoda. If we add partners, we name them on this page, and the same rules apply to every one of them.

The short version, printed under the booking links on every hotel page, is:

“We may earn a commission when you book through these links. It never affects a SpaRator score, and no hotel hosted or paid for this analysis.”

What It Never Changes

Commission never changes a SpaRator score, a hub ranking, or what an analysis says. Hotels do not pay for coverage, placement or scores. There are no paid placements and no sponsored analyses. No hotel has hosted or paid for an analysis.

An analysis reports what the facts and guest reviews support, including the limitations. A low score stays a low score.

Links that can earn a commission:

  • booking buttons on hotel pages
  • the live rates panel when dates are selected
  • partner links to Booking.com, Expedia, Hotels.com, Kayak and Agoda

Not every hotel or booking site pays a commission, so some of these links earn nothing.

Links that never earn a commission:

  • the “Hotel’s own website” link on each hotel page
  • links to sources
  • outbound links inside guides
  • links to social profiles

Links to our own pages never earn a commission.

What Happens When You Click

When you click a partner link, you leave Spa Hotel Finder for a partner’s site, through an affiliate network or directly. Today they pass through Stay22 to booking sites. From that point, the partner’s cookies and privacy policy apply. If you book, we receive a commission report. Your name and booking details stay with the booking site or partner.
