Wonderful place to celebrate a birthday. We live in Tucson but wanted to go some place special for dinner and spend the night to celebrate my birthday. We hadn’t been to La Paloma and have lived here for 10 years. The day of check in I received an email that asked if the hotel could do anything for us. I mentioned it was my birthday. What a nice surprise when we got to our room and found decorated cupcakes and fruit with a lovely note. Our dinner was incredible. The food was cooked to perfection and the servers couldn’t have been more attentive. One of our nicest birthday celebrations. Thank you La Paloma.

Arizona's contribution is Castle Hot Springs, a remote resort north of Phoenix built around spring-fed pools that stay near 100°F year round. True geothermal properties are rare among US spa hotels; most hot tubs are heated municipal water. If soaking in mineral water matters to you, verify the source before booking, because marketing language blurs the line freely.

Can you use a hotel spa without booking a treatment?

Usually not, at the top end. Most premium US spa hotels restrict thermal facilities such as saunas, steam rooms, and relaxation lounges to guests with treatment appointments, and 50 to 60 minute minimum services are the standard qualifying threshold.
