Alila Napa Valley

Alila is at 1915 Main St on Highway 29, at St. Helena's north end beside Beringer Vineyards. San Francisco International is about 70 miles and just under two hours by car; Santa Rosa's Charles M. Schulz airport is roughly 30 minutes. A daily shuttle covers St. Helena town.

Not formally, as of November 2025 — the hotel dropped the designation and now simply markets to adults. The practical gate remains: rooms hold a maximum of two guests including infants and children, so a family of three needs two rooms. The register stays quiet and adult in effect.

Unpublished — the spa prices by phone and email only. Recent guest reports put treatments in Napa's luxury band; the signature Passage to Peace ritual and the 105-minute Obsidian Rose anchor the top of the menu. The service-charge policy is also unpublished — confirm both when booking.

Front rooms facing Highway 29 — road noise recurs in reviews. Book vineyard-side for the terraces, fire pits, and soaking tubs that justify the property's photography. The building is modernist and compact; the room, not the grounds, is the product.

December through February, when entry rates fall toward $700–$900. Peak harvest (August–October) runs $1,200–$2,000. Hyatt points bookings add a value lever no other Napa luxury boutique offers — high-expectation points guests are part of the review mix for exactly that reason.

As a treatments trip, yes — the massage reputation is the best in the valley pound for pound. As a spa-facility trip, no: six treatment rooms, a co-ed steam room, and contrast hydrotherapy cannot fill a day, and there is no thermal circuit. Book Alila for the bodywork and the quiet; book Calistoga's bathhouses for the soaking.

It opened in 2017 as Las Alcobas, a Marriott Luxury Collection hotel, closed during the pandemic, and reopened under Hyatt's Alila flag on March 1, 2021. The building and vineyard-edge position carried over; the wellness programming is the Alila-era addition.
