Naples Grande pairs a beach tram with fair spa prices, but is closed for renovation.
The free tram to Clam Pass Beach and a fairly priced pre-closure spa menu are reasons to wait. Guests reported the whirlpool, sauna and steam room worn before the April 2026 closure. As of October 2026, the resort and spa are closed for renovation until about January 2027, with no word on whether a treatment includes sauna, steam or whirlpool. Right for families or couples who will wait for the reopened resort’s reviews; wrong for anyone choosing on the spa or booking before it reopens.

As of October 2026 the resort is closed for renovation until about January 2027 and the spa is not among the open facilities, so a pricing review applies through 2027 (the spa sells massages at 50 and 80 minutes and no 60, so the $160 50-minute massage works out to about $3.20 a minute, or $192 over 60 minutes at that rate, on the pre-closure menu).
Spa Treatments
The Spa at Naples Grande ran a full, fairly priced and well-liked menu before it closed with the resort for renovation. A 50-minute Swedish massage cost $160, so an hour at that rate was $192, $33 below the $225 typical across the 59 other spa hotels we have rated that print a massage price. Most guests who wrote about a treatment liked it: 25 of 32. These are the last published prices before the closure, and the renovated spa may reprice them.
Spa Facilities
Naples Grande’s closed spa had a worn heat suite and no standing cold side, and nothing is published about the renovated one. Nine of 52 guests who wrote about the spa reported worn hardware: whirlpool out June and October 2024, sauna and steam December 2025. Like 12 of the 20 other spa hotels we have rated on cold elements, it has no standing cold plunge. A July 2025 Google guest described cracked tiles and a moldy smell. Nothing predicts what reopens, so book the hotel for something else.
Wellness Programs
Wellness at Naples Grande is the beach tram and tennis, both open during the closure, since its fee-included classes publish no schedule. Guests praised the beach tram 55 times against 15 complaints. No class count is published, so there is nothing to compare against other spa hotels. A December 2025 TripAdvisor guest called the mangrove walkway “an experience of its own.” None of the 461 stays describes a class, and one guest in October 2025 found a daily tennis clinic not running. Yoga and Zumba are named but unscheduled.
Staff & Service
Staff at Naples Grande draw more praise than complaints, and front-desk slips were reported up to the April 2026 closure. Service failure was the main complaint in 15.6% of stays. Across the 21 other spa hotels we compare on guest complaints, the typical share is 11.2%, and only 3 are higher. A March 2025 TripAdvisor guest wrote that after many calls “you would have thought a manager or someone would have followed up but nope nothing.” The spa desk drew complaints, from Groupon refusals to a gratuity charged before service.

Guests at Naples Grande rated the pre-closure stay modestly, with rooms and construction noise repeated complaints, and the resort closed for renovation. TripAdvisor’s overall 4.2 averages every year, but the two years before the closure read 3.8 across 461 stays on TripAdvisor and Google. Across the 21 other spa hotels we compare on recent reviews, the typical rating is 4.48, and 20 sit higher. A September 2025 Google guest said nobody warned them about construction “to make different arrangements.” Noise ran through late 2025. The latest year reads warmer.
Value for Money
Naples Grande adds less in fees than most spa hotels, but its prices are reopening quotes for a closed resort. Our 5 Mar 2027 check on Hilton.com showed fees and tax adding 16.2% to the room rate on the pre-renovation $45 resort charge. Across the 55 other spa hotels we have priced, fees and tax add 19.6% on a peak night. Booking.com guests rate value 7.7 out of 10. Nearly one in five stays still carries a value complaint. Its post-reopening fee is unpublished, so price it again later.

The Spa, Specifically: The Spa at Naples Grande
The Spa at Naples Grande is closed with the resort and is not on the hotel’s list of open facilities. Its pre-closure menu was priced below most spa hotels we have rated: 79 priced services across massage, facials, body, nails and hair, with massage at 50 and 80 minutes and no 60. One distinctive booking was the couples Fire & Ice session: fifteen minutes in an infrared sauna and a three-minute cold plunge. Around the treatments sat a whirlpool, unisex sauna, unisex steam room and meditation lounge: a heat suite with no standing cold side. Guests reported worn hardware before the closure: the whirlpool unavailable in June and October 2024, the sauna and steam room in December 2025. Its own Google listing, 3.7 from 122 reviews, sits below the hotel’s 4.3. No treatment-room count or footprint is published, and nothing about the renovated spa has been announced.
Who’s Right, Who’s Wrong
Naples Grande suits a family or couple who wants a Gulf-side resort with a mangrove beach tram and will wait for the reopened resort’s own reviews. Wrong for spa-first guests, for anyone booking before the reopening, and for a guest who needs a published class schedule or couples massage. Patience is the trade-off: the pools and a fair-priced menu are real, but both rest on a pre-closure record.
Where It Sits in the Naples Market
The Ritz-Carlton, Naples is the benchmark: 32 treatment rooms, a hot-and-cold circuit, spa access gated behind treatment or membership, $60 resort fee. Naples Grande publishes no treatment-room count or footprint and credits no standing cold element. Its $45 fee sits at the bottom of the Naples range. The typical fee across the other nine Naples hotels is $57. Naples Beach Club, A Four Seasons Resort has 13 treatment rooms, an ice room and cold plunge, access included for in-house guests, $75 fee. A complimentary tram runs both ways from 8 a.m. to sunset through the mangroves to Clam Pass Beach. Four beach chairs a day with towels are in the resort fee, and umbrellas, kayaks and paddleboards are for rent. As of October 2026, the tram and beach are open during the closure.
What Was on the Spa Menu Before the Closure?
