Sandava Spa is treatment rooms and one relaxation room, and that is what limits the stay. Guests praise the staff far more than they praise the spa, and the $160 60-minute massage is the least expensive hour on its menu. Massages, facials and body treatments run at 60 or 90 minutes, and the $35 nightly fee sits outside the spa. Right for a beach stay with a massage or facial; wrong for someone who wants heat or water facilities in a spa.

Spa Treatments
The menu is fully priced online across massage, facials and body work, and the cheapest true hour costs $160. Seven massages, three facials and six body treatments run at 60 and 90 minutes, beside three phone-only packages. Three other Tampa Bay hotels we have rated charge $165 for their cheapest 60-minute massage. All seven guest treatment uses are positive. A TripAdvisor guest in December 2025 called the massage "the best."
Spa Facilities
Treatment rooms and a relaxation room are the spa's whole offer. The room count and size are not stated. Four reviewers say the spa has no sauna or steam room: one hotel guest in April 2025 was promised both by phone, then told on arrival the spa had never had a working sauna or steam room, and three reviewers on the spa's Google listing reported the same between January and June 2025.
Wellness Programs
A guest gets a gym and a free hour of bikes, both covered by the $35 nightly fee. The heated pool on the 8th floor is open 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. year-round beside a kids' pool. Thirty-five guests describe a hot tub at the resort's pool, and some of them are critical. A July 2026 TripAdvisor guest found the bubbles not working.
Staff & Service
Staff praise outnumbers complaints six to one, and service is the main complaint in only 7.5% of written reviews. No single kind of service complaint comes up often. The hotel answers nearly all of its TripAdvisor reviews, including the unhappy ones. A September 2026 TripAdvisor guest found the staff "very friendly and helpful," and an April 2025 Google guest unhappy about the spa called valet and front-desk service "wonderful."

A Booking.com location score of 9.5 marks the location as the stay's strength, with dated rooms and upkeep the weak point. Dated rooms run 3.5% of reviews and maintenance 2.4%, and guests also mention bar-side noise. A June 2026 TripAdvisor guest heard bar-side noise "extreme till post midnight." A December 2025 guest calls the location "perfect" with a fabulous view.
