The Spa, Specifically

Pallavi Luxury Spa occupies the third floor: six treatment rooms plus a couples’ suite with dual tables, a couples’ whirlpool, and an experience shower. For its size, the wet and experience areas are well-judged — eucalyptus steam rooms in both locker rooms, chromotherapy “experience showers” that shift color with pre-set hydrotherapy programs, a co-ed relaxation lounge, and an outdoor “ladies’ lanai.”

The treatment menu leans toward wellness: the herbal-bundle Sea Holistic massage, a Reiki Chakra Balancing treatment, and the Geneo Glo2Facial as the headline facial, with Jurlique and Phytomer among the product lines.

Spa Director Lindsey Sappenfield has led the team since 2019, a continuity that is evident in the steady, professional delivery of treatments. The honest limits are scale and one specific gap: at 6,000 sq ft, this is a small spa, and it has no sauna — only steam rooms — and no plunge pool, hammam, or salt room. A 20% service charge applies, with a $20 peak surcharge on weekend treatments.

Who’s Right, Who’s Wrong

Book Wyndham Grand for a beachfront AAA Four Diamond stay where a polished spa afternoon is part of the plan rather than the whole trip. Couples are the natural fit — the couples’ suite, with its own whirlpool and experience shower, is a genuine feature — and every room’s water view is a real draw.

Book elsewhere if the spa is the reason for the trip: there is no sauna, no thermal progression, and no scale to speak of. Value-focused guests should also price in the stack — resort fee, valet-only parking, the spa service charge, and a weekend treatment surcharge.

Where It Sits in the Market

Pallavi is the smallest of the Clearwater Beach resort spas. The Sandpearl Resort benchmark runs a 12,000 sq ft spa; the newer Opal Sol adds a Himalayan salt room; Pallavi has 6,000 sq ft and no sauna. What it does better than its size suggests is the experience circuit — chromotherapy showers and an outdoor ladies’ lanai give it a more considered wet area than the bare facilities of some larger competitors.
